About Piazzetta

Piazzetta Pellet Heaters Head Quarters Italy

Piazzetta has been producing wood heaters since the 1960s and pellet heaters since the 1990s.  All Piazzetta Pellet Heaters are designed and manufactured in their factory in Asolo, Italy. Encapsulating design, performance and comfort - pellet heaters are the intelligent heating solution for the discerning buyer.

Pellet heaters have the same ambience as a wood fire, yet the control of gas or electricity. Their high efficiency means that they only have to be topped up with pellets every couple of days and they produce far fewer emissions compared to traditional wood heaters.

Piazzetta's have been the leaders in pellet heating across Europe and America for many years. For the first time, Piazzetta pellet heaters are being offered in Australia through the Recycling Technologies Group.

What are Pellet Heaters?

Pellet Heaters are an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional wood heaters. They run on wood pellets - which are made from recycled wood waste that has been processed into dense, high energy pellets. Pellets are stored in a pellet hopper inside the heater. A screw like auger intermittently dispenses pellets from the hopper into the burn pot to feed the flame.

Pellet Heaters are fully programmable, allowing you to set your desired room temperature. Once the heater is switched on an auto ignition will light the heater for you and pellets will start dispensing. Once the firebox reaches the desired temperature - the fan will kick in to help disperse the hot air around your room.

Due to the low moisture content of wood pellets (9-10%) and the high efficiency of Piazzettas - there is zero to minimum black smoke assosciated with pellet heaters.

What is a Multifuoco System?

Multifuoco Systems is a truly innovative system available exclusively on Piazzettas SY Range. The Multifuoco System is designed to distribute heat evenly throughout the room, maintaining an ideal temperature from the floor to the ceiling.

To achieve this, hot air flows from vents at the base of the heater, instead of the top. It rises to the ceiling and then re-enters the heaters through the top grills to be warmed and distributed again. This system ensures the heater produced in the firebox is always evenly distributed throughout the room.

Ducting

The Multifuoco System gives you the ability to duct your heater into other rooms of the house. A ducting system allows you to transfer hot air produced in the heater up to 16m.

A ducting system is a cost-effective and easy to install solution to heating multiple rooms in your house. Suitably insulated small diameter flexible pipes (75mm) are used, which are easy to install. The warm air flows into the rooms at floor level through special vents fitted with flow control.

All models in our SY Range can be ducted. However, models in the P963 Range which have dual fans - allow for independent climate control. I.e. one fan can be used for the room the heater is in and the other can be used to control the heat in the ducted rooms.

What is a Majolica Cladding?
Piazzetta Pellet Heaters making majolica

Majolicas are the Italian Ceramic pieces that clad the Piazzetta Pellet Heaters. The large, hand-made Piazzetta majolica elements serve both functional and aesthetic purposes. Made from raw clay, they are individually shaped by hand, ensuring no two pieces are alike.

Majolica holds in the heat radiated by the firebox and then disperses it continuously and evenly throughout the room. In other words it acts as a true 'thermal wheel' releasing pleasant warmth even after the fire has been shut down. Making Piazzetta heaters a much more efficient choice than traditional wood fires.

All Piazzettas come standard with a Majolica Cladding except for the Monia and Sabrina, which both have a metal surround.
